All of our campers have the opportunity to try new and exciting experiences, explore the wonders of nature, enjoy traditional camp activities and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. For many girls, Amity Acres Day Camp is their first experience with archery, climbing wall, zipline, team building and STEM programming.
Whether you’re looking for a camp experience that lasts a week or all summer long, this guide contains the information you need to plan for a summer of adventure, friendship and fun. Although Amity Acres Day Camp primarily serves girls, we also provide separate units for sibling brothers, ages 3-12. With the exception of occasional activities throughout the day, boys and girls enjoy separate camp experiences.
Our summer program at Amity Acres begins on Monday, June 17, 2019 and continues through Friday, August 16; there is no camp on Thursday, July 4. Camp begins every day at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. Before and after care is available.
Campers should bring a lunch, snack and water bottle to camp every day.
All Weeks - Kindergarten through ninth grade
It’s not basic; it’s extraordinary. Our traditional camp experience features everything you would expect, including a wide variety of age-appropriate fun and exciting activities, including archery, boating, teamwork/challenge course, zipline, climbing wall, nature hikes, swimming, arts and crafts and more. Campers are empowered daily by having the opportunity to choose the activities they love the most.
All Weeks - Ages 3-4
Our youngest campers, ages 3 and 4, light up camp with their excitement and imagination. These young girls and boys spend time together enjoying age-appropriate activities, including swimming, every day!
Sibling brothers between the ages of 5 - 12 are welcome. Boys enjoy the same activities as the girls, but with their own buddies!
July 8-12 and July 22-26
Enjoy a three-night Amity Acres sleepover experience. Attend a regular day of camp Monday, meeting with your unit and enjoying team-building activities. On Tuesday, you’ll return for an extended camp overnight that lasts until the end of the camp week on Friday.
Camp Program Aide and Specialization
During this two-week program, girls develop leadership abilities, focus on outdoor skills and learn how to mentor younger campers. After training is complete, they can add-on a one-week specialization programs where they can focus their skills on a specific area of camp.
For each of these programs, girls spend half their day specializing in an area that’s their passion. During the remainder of the camp day, they participate in traditional camp activities.
Through hands-on opportunities, we let girls explore the potential that can be found through technology, culinary opportunities and the outdoors.
Engaging instructors and experienced horses greet campers at our off-site stable as they expand their knowledge of horsemanship, improve their riding skills and meet new friends.
