Camp Staff

Amity Acres Day Camp is comprised of adult and youth counselors. All staff members are required to attend Pre-Camp Training. The staff ratio is generally 10 campers to one staff member.

Special Needs

If you have a camper that needs special accommodations of any type, please call and speak to our camp administrator by calling (800) 785-2090, ext. 127.

Refund Policy

• Full refunds are available prior to March 1, 2010.
• If a camper cannot attend day camp for non-medical reasons, fees paid after March 1, 2010 will be refunded upon a written request at least one-month prior to the first day of scheduled attendance, less a $50 administrative fee.
• Refunds for medical reasons will be honored only when accompanied by a physician's statement in writing explicitly stating why your child cannot participate.
• Refunds WILL NOT be given for days missed during a week, nor can missed days be “made up” during another week.

Change Fee

After May 1, 2010, requests for changes in weeks, changing units or instructional swim schedules will result in a $15 administrative fee per change.

Payment Plan

Payment plans are available for those who wish to register for multiple weeks of camp. The balance for each week of camp must be paid in full no later than one week prior to the 1st day of that camp week.

Lunch and Snack

Campers are required to bring their own lunch and snack labeled with a name. Water is available at all times. Campers must bring a reusable water bottle clearly labeled with their name; there are no paper cups at camp.

Trading Post/Camp Store

A variety of items to meet your camp needs and camp souvenirs are available in the camp store/ trading post. Camper parents/guardians may choose to set up an account for their child prior to the start of camp.

Bus Service

Amity Acres Day Camp offers optional bus service from many convenient locations. The cost is $55 per week, per child. The week of July 6 is prorated to $44.

Extended Day

Before and after care is available for an additional fee. Before-care hours are from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and after-care hours are from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is $10 per session (a.m. or p.m.) per day.Children usually swim for part of the after care program activities.

Extended Care Discount: When registered for the full week of extended care, original $100 reduced to $75. Sibling discount does not apply.  Activities and snack are provided.

Before/After care is also available at the Ocean Service Center, Toms River. Bus transportation to/from camp to the Service Center is included in the extended day fee.

Camp T-Shirts

As our way of thanking you for choosing Amity Acres Day Camp, each camper will receive one camp T-shirt. Please be sure to choose a size when completing the registration form. If you do not choose a size on your application, your child will receive an Adult Small. Extra camp t-shirts may be purchased at the camp store / trading post for $10 per shirt.
